07/16/2020 - The 2019-2020 St. John Fisher College annual fund campaign came to a close on May 31, 2020, surpassing its goal by more than $60,000.

Salerno Receives National CASE Award for Voluntary Service Vic Salerno and President Rooney

02/26/2020 - St. John Fisher College alumnus and Board of Trustees member Victor E. Salerno ’66 has created a legacy of giving at the institution. In recognition of his decades of service to the College, he received the Robert L. Payton Award for Voluntary Service, presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) at an awards ceremony, held on Monday, Feb. 24, during the CASE District II Conference.

Scholarship Carries on Legacy of Family Giving Jill A. and Martin K. Birmingham

01/13/2020 - With the establishment of a scholarship that bears their name, Martin K. and Jill A. Birmingham carry on a legacy of family giving to St. John Fisher College.

$100,000 Gift Funds Wegmans School of Pharmacy Medical Missions, Student Enrichment Experiences Dean Christine Birnie with Ludmilla (Lucy) P. Malmberg, who gave $100,000 to the Wegmans School of Pharmacy to fund student travel experiences.

01/12/2020 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College received a $100,000 gift to fund student travel experiences, including to professional conferences and medical missions, thanks to the generosity of Ludmilla (Lucy) P. Malmberg, nationally renowned pharmacist, educational philanthropist, and entrepreneur.

Seward Scholar Develops Passion for Film Production Johairy Delacruz

12/10/2019 - This fall, the Department of Media and Communication selected Johairy Delacruz ’20 as the recipient of the James E. Seward Scholarship. Carrying a $1,000 award, the scholarship honors Jim Seward and his 41 years of college teaching, 29 of which were spent at Fisher. The scholarship was established by former students, friends, and colleagues when he retired in 2011.

Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign Exceeds Goal The Basilian motto, Teach Me Goodness, Discipilne, and Knowledge is written on the exterior of Golisano Gateway.

11/15/2019 - The annual Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign exceeded its fundraising goal raising $28,537.91 for St. John Fisher College. The campaign, which ran from Monday, Sept. 23 through Monday, Nov. 4, is a coordinated effort to encourage Fisher employees to support the College’s annual fund.

10/28/2019 - In fall 2018, the Wilmot Cancer Institute’s Pluta Cancer Center opened an Integrative Oncology & Wellness Center, using complementary therapies including yoga, meditation, and acupuncture to help ease the fatigue, pain, stress, and anxiety often felt by cancer patients.
