10/05/2020 - A $1 million gift from the C. Anthony and Michele Davidson Foundation will endow a scholarship at St. John Fisher College providing financial assistance to a new generation of Fisher undergraduates.
09/19/2020 - On September 19, 2019, St. John Fisher College launched a $75 million fundraising campaign to move “Fisher Forward.” Now, one year later, the largest fundraising campaign in the College’s history is climbing steadily toward its ambitious goal.
09/09/2020 - St. John Fisher College today announced the creation of the DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence thanks to a $1 million gift from Jack ’73 and Donna DePeters. Jack retired from Wegmans Food Markets after 52 accomplished years of service to the food company, and in honor of his retirement, Wegmans matched the $1 million gift in December 2019.
08/03/2020 - St. John Fisher College has appointed Chris Biehn as the vice president for institutional advancement. Biehn, who has been serving in the role in an interim capacity since March, will begin at the College on August 10.
07/16/2020 - The 2019-2020 St. John Fisher College annual fund campaign came to a close on May 31, 2020, surpassing its goal by more than $60,000.
04/27/2020 - Drs. Susan Hildenbrand and Donna Riter, professors and colleagues at St. John Fisher College’s Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education, are experts at training teachers and administrators about how to help students affected by trauma.
04/24/2020 - The Department of Media and Communication at St. John Fisher College has selected sophomores Shefki Beha and Shannon Munier as the 2020 recipients of the Jack Palvino Excellence in Communication Award.
02/26/2020 - St. John Fisher College alumnus and Board of Trustees member Victor E. Salerno ’66 has created a legacy of giving at the institution. In recognition of his decades of service to the College, he received the Robert L. Payton Award for Voluntary Service, presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) at an awards ceremony, held on Monday, Feb. 24, during the CASE District II Conference.
01/13/2020 - With the establishment of a scholarship that bears their name, Martin K. and Jill A. Birmingham carry on a legacy of family giving to St. John Fisher College.
01/12/2020 - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College received a $100,000 gift to fund student travel experiences, including to professional conferences and medical missions, thanks to the generosity of Ludmilla (Lucy) P. Malmberg, nationally renowned pharmacist, educational philanthropist, and entrepreneur.
