11/17/2020 - If you’ve been to a Fisher sporting event, chances are you’ve seen Bob Moline ’68. One of the most loyal and ardent supporters of Fisher athletics, Bob can be found cheering on the Cardinals from the stands, chatting with fellow fans, or catching up with coaches, players, and parents post-game.
11/16/2020 - There isn’t an industry, sector, or profession that hasn’t felt the jolting changes caused by the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus. But, it could be argued that education, in particular, has felt that disruption more than other entities, as teachers, administrators, students, and families experience new models of education together.
11/11/2020 - St. John Fisher College alumnus and trustee Michael O’Conor ’78 has made a generous $100,000 gift to the College to establish the Pam and Michael A. O’Conor ’78 New York City Internship Endowment. The fund will support career-immersion experiences in the greater New York City area for Fisher students, including stipends toward living accommodations, subway passes, and other expenses.
10/26/2020 - St. John Fisher College students interested in gaining experience-based learning at a not-for-profit organization will now have greater opportunities to do so, thanks to the newly established Jill ’94 and James Knittel Award for Not-for-Profit Internships.
10/05/2020 - A $1 million gift from the C. Anthony and Michele Davidson Foundation will endow a scholarship at St. John Fisher College providing financial assistance to a new generation of Fisher undergraduates.
09/19/2020 - On September 19, 2019, St. John Fisher College launched a $75 million fundraising campaign to move “Fisher Forward.” Now, one year later, the largest fundraising campaign in the College’s history is climbing steadily toward its ambitious goal.
09/09/2020 - St. John Fisher College today announced the creation of the DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence thanks to a $1 million gift from Jack ’73 and Donna DePeters. Jack retired from Wegmans Food Markets after 52 accomplished years of service to the food company, and in honor of his retirement, Wegmans matched the $1 million gift in December 2019.
08/03/2020 - St. John Fisher College has appointed Chris Biehn as the vice president for institutional advancement. Biehn, who has been serving in the role in an interim capacity since March, will begin at the College on August 10.
