Invest in the Residential Experience
Support the residential experience for students.
Living on Campus
Today, Fisher is home to the highest number of residential students in the University’s history. Over 90% of first-year students live on campus, an integral piece of their transition to college and to Fisher. Students who choose to live on campus are more likely to become - and stay - involved in extracurricular experiences that create well-rounded graduates. From athletics to student clubs, weekend events to social gatherings, and everything in between, the residential experience at Fisher not only allows students to develop lifelong friendships, but prepares them to live, work, and be engaged in their communities.
To meet the needs of increasing enrollment, the University has invested in three new residence halls over the last 20 years: Founders Hall, Keough Hall, and the Upper Quad Hall. Through Fisher Forward, we will continue to focus on enhancing the residential experience for current and future students.
Two Decades of Residential Expansion
Founders Hall
Named in honor of the founding Basilian Fathers, Founders Hall is home to 192 upperclass students in both suite style and single rooms. Rooms throughout the hall have been dedicated to specific Fathers and plaques displaying their names and the dates they were ordained adorn the hallways. Its location is prime for athletic events, as it is adjacent to the Polisseni Track and Field Complex and is a quick walk to Growney Stadium and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Athletic Center.
Keough Hall
Keough Hall is named after the fifth president of St. John Fisher University, Dr. Katherine Keough, who lost her battle with cancer during her presidency in 2004, and is home to 220 upperclass students who enjoy double rooms with private bathrooms. Nestled in the heart of campus, Keough Hall is located across from the Donald E. Bain Campus Center, placing it near all-things-campus-life, including easy access to the Ward-Haffey Dining Hall, Lavery Library, and the academic corridor.
Upper Quad Hall
Upper Quad Hall is Fisher's newest residence hall and houses 155 upperclass students in double rooms with private bathrooms. This new, modernized hall also includes several study rooms perfect for students to use for group or individual study and presentation prep as well as lounge areas for down-time use. Located next to Keough Hall, Upper Quad Hall beautifully completes the campus’ upper quad footprint.
